Testimonials
The following paragraphs contain testimonials from program
participants. For the sake of authenticity, they have been left in the
original language as presented.
Gary Charles, VP Operations,
MSB Montreal
During the first few months of 1999, MSB was experiencing rapid growth.
I was concerned that along with this increase in volume, MSB would be
more prone to problems in quality and more likely to make errors during
production. I decided that it would very helpful to implement a formal
quality assurance program. In addition, I agreed to invest in training
MSB supervisors.
I hired Steve Woloz in April 1999 with the mandate to improve quality
and to make my supervisors better managers. I am very happy to report
that Steve was able to deliver on both counts. As a result, the
employees at MSB have become much more conscientious regarding quality
control. In addition, the supervisors are indeed performing with higher
morale and with positive results.
In conclusion, I am satisfied with the work Steve has done for MSB. I
would suggest to Steve’s prospects to not hesitate in making use of his
expertise.
Peter Nardelli, President,
COFIL Montreal
We have recently completed an assignment with Steve Woloz Associates.
The purpose of the work was to improve the managerial skills of the
first line supervisors. The results of the coaching provided has been
most helpful in upgrading the skills of our staff.
Robert Laroche, V.P.
Manufacturing and H.R., NALPAC
Sanseam inc. is a newly formed company to sew tubular knitted panties
and camisoles that began its operation in March 1999. We started our
production and grew to produce between 20,000 to 25,000 garments per
week for several weeks and we did not seem to be able to grow anymore.
Both Steve Woloz and Mike Berman began there consulting work in early
July 1999 at the rate of 7 man/day per week. When they finish their
mandate at the end of September our production was 70,000 garments per
week with a steady increase every week.
They got involved in training, introduced a piece rate compensation
system based on industrial engineering productivity measurements, and
they established productivity standards for each job. They spent a
great deal of time to coach our management, our sewing machines
operators and our finishing employees. They were fully committed to
work with our people but most of all they secured them, motivated and
trained them in order to acquire speed.
Steve Woloz and associates is a truly professional organization and I
have no hesitation to recommend that consulting firm to any company in
need of some help from outside.
David Geller, President, GHz
Technologies, Montreal
Between April 3rd 2000 and June 13th 2000, Steve Woloz Associates
conducted a thirty-hour coaching and training seminar for all senior
and middle managers and supervisors at GHz technologies Inc. The
comprehensive and pertinent content was well prepared and very well
presented in both English and French, as required.
Participants were provided with the tools needed to improve their
performance in all aspects of employee interaction and supervision and
also management techniques.
Feedback from those who were fortunate to be coached and tutored by
Steve Woloz was positive. Each graduate was given a binder with
complete notes of the subjects that were covered and awarded a
certificate of achievement on completion.

I would like to express my appreciation for the seminar you have given
us. The seminar has made me aware of the effective ways of
accomplishing my responsibilities as a leader and the attributes and
skills I should have as one.
The seminar has taught me further that in global economy, it is
essential that we work for constant improvement, not only of our
strategies and techniques but also of human relationship.
Should there be a succeeding course, may I suggest that we learn more
of emotional side of success, those mechanisms that turn vision into
action like respect, trust and valuing. My years working as a leader
have taught me that putting oneself on his subordinates is the best
practical way of being a competent leader.

Je pouvais me

Sylvie D.

choses, à me rapprocher de mes employés, à
P.S. Merci, à ma compagnie et à Steve Woloz &
Associés pour me rendre déjà un meilleur
superviseur.
A. M. L.
I have found the course to date to be very interesting and informative.
It has helped us to establish the following:
- Implementation of weekly production meetings which allow
us to discuss problems which may arise in upcoming production or
possible improvements or changes which may help streamline and
facilitate production. At the same time hopefully eventually help
prevent problems before they arise or at least lessen the impact of
said problems.
- The course has been useful in establishing lines of
communication between various departments and individuals hopefully
leading to better understanding between those individuals and
departments.
- By working on job descriptions it better defines our tasks
and responsibilities not only for ourselves but also for others,
including replacements, to understand what our responsibilities are.
This in turn may help us delegate responsibility or better prioritise
our time in order to be more effective.
- We have learned that communication can be an effective
tool in working together to find solutions. We have many problems which
need solutions and by working together and discussing the problems as a
unit will lead to more effective solutions.
In conclusion: the above changes and the implementation of an employee
handbook are improvements which have been long anticipated. However,
the establishment and implementation of these changes is the easy part.
The reinforcement and continuation of the changes will ultimately
determine their success or failure. I am optimistic that this exercise
will be a success if we all give it our best effort.
